Privacy Policy

Last updated Sept. 7, 2026 · Effective Sept. 5, 2026

This policy explains what information Foyat Mini collects when you use the mobile app or our services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to shop owners, managers and staff who hold an Foyat Mini account.

1. Who we are

Foyat Mini is operated from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, contact us at info@omnisoltech.com or on +251940414034. Our office address is Jemo Michael, Tameche Building, 3rd Floor, Office No. 4, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

We act as the controller of the account and billing information described below. For the business records you enter — your products, sales and expenses — you remain in control of the data; we process and store it on your behalf so the app can work.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs in order to function. We do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not run advertising trackers in the app.

Account information

Created when you register, or taken from your Google account if you sign in with Google.

  • First and last name
  • Username and email address
  • Phone number
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Password, stored only as a salted hash
  • Your role: owner, manager or staff

Store and verification details

Provided when you register a shop, and used to review it.

  • Store name and description
  • Store logo
  • Business licence document
  • Address you enter for the shop
  • Telegram, website and Facebook links (optional)
  • Approval status

Business records you enter

The day-to-day data the app exists to manage. This is your business's information; we hold it so the app works.

  • Products, categories and prices
  • Stock movements in and out
  • Sales and quick sales
  • Expenses
  • Staff you add to a store

Subscription and payment records

Generated when you pay for a subscription.

  • Package chosen and number of stores billed
  • Amount and currency
  • Transaction reference and payment status
  • Subscription start and expiry dates

Device and technical information

Collected automatically so the app can reach you and so we can keep the service running.

  • Push notification token
  • App version and platform
  • Server logs, including IP address and time of request

What we never collect

We do not store your card numbers, bank credentials, mobile money PINs or any other payment secrets. Those are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach Foyat Mini's servers. We also do not track your location in the background — the location field on a store is an address you type in yourself.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide the app: sign you in, show your stores and keep your records in sync across devices.
  • Review and approve store registrations, and prevent fraudulent or duplicate shops.
  • Take subscription payments and keep your stores active.
  • Send you notifications you have asked for, such as low stock and subscription reminders.
  • Answer your support requests.
  • Diagnose faults, protect against abuse, and improve the app.
  • Meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your sales figures or customer records with other businesses.

4. Store verification

When you register a store you upload a logo and a business licence. Our review team looks at these to confirm the shop is a genuine business before approving it. Until a store is approved it cannot be opened in the app and is not billed. Licence images are visible only to the store's owner and to our reviewers, and are kept for as long as the store exists so we can evidence the approval decision.

5. Who we share it with

We share information with a small number of service providers, only to the extent they need it to do their job:

Service Purpose What it receives
Chapa Processes subscription payments Your name, email and the amount due
Google Firebase Delivers push notifications and supports sign-in Device notification token; account identifier if you sign in with Google
Google Sign-In Optional way to sign in Your Google account name and email address
Hosting provider Runs our servers and stores the database All service data, encrypted in transit

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or protect the safety of our users. If Foyat Mini is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will tell you before your information is transferred.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Foyat Mini is billed per approved store. When you subscribe, you are taken to our payment provider to complete the payment. We receive back only the outcome — a transaction reference, the amount, the package you chose and whether it succeeded. Your payment credentials stay with the provider.

We keep records of payments for accounting and tax purposes for as long as the applicable law requires.

7. Push notifications

With your permission, the app registers a device token so we can send notifications about your stores — low stock, store approval, subscription reminders. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings; the token is removed when you log out.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your account and business records for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account — which you can do yourself, from the app — we remove your personal information and your stores' records after a 7-day grace period, except where we must keep something longer; payment and tax records are the main example. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data may persist in backup copies for a short period before it is gone. Section 9 explains exactly what happens.

9. Deleting your data

You do not need to ask us, and you do not need a reason. Both of these are in the app under Settings › Account.

Deactivate

Switches your account off and signs you out. Nothing is deleted: your stores, stock and sales history stay exactly as they are, and nobody can use the account until you sign in again to restore it. Reversible at any time.

Delete

Schedules your account for permanent deletion. This is not reversible once it completes, and it removes your stores along with the records inside them.

The 7-day grace period

Deletion does not happen the moment you ask for it. We wait 7 days first, and tell you the date your account is due to be removed. During that window nothing is destroyed and you keep full access, so you can change your mind, finish outstanding business, or export your records. Cancelling is a single tap in the same screen, and signing back in to a deactivated account cancels a pending deletion too.

Once the 7 days have passed, an automated job removes the account. At that point we cannot recover it or anything in it — including your stores, products, stock movements, sales and expenses — so please export anything you need before the window closes.

What survives deletion, and why

Records of payments you made to us are kept, because Ethiopian tax and accounting rules require us to retain them. They are detached from your identity: what remains is the transaction, not a profile of you. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot be traced back to you may also remain. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so a copy may persist there briefly after deletion completes.

If your account was created for you by a store owner, see section 12 — the store's records belong to their business, not to your personal account.

Prefer not to use the app? Email info@omnisoltech.com and we will do it for you.

10. Security

Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, never in readable form. Access to production data is limited to the staff who need it to operate and support the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authorities without undue delay.

11. Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

  • Show you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your account and its data yourself, from the app, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
  • Deactivate your account temporarily without deleting anything.
  • Export your business records in a portable format.
  • Stop sending you notifications, or withdraw a consent you gave.
  • Explain a decision, such as why a store was not approved.

Email info@omnisoltech.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first so that we do not hand your shop's data to someone else.

12. Staff accounts

A store owner can create accounts for managers and shop staff. If your account was created for you, the owner of that store can see your profile details and the activity you record in the app — sales you process, stock you move — because it belongs to their business. Requests to correct or delete a staff account should go to the store owner first; you can also contact us directly.

13. Children

Foyat Mini is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. International transfers

Some of the providers listed above operate servers outside Ethiopia. Where your information is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For changes that meaningfully affect how we handle your information, we will also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
